Yungblud Brings Energy and Chaos to a Sold-Out Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  Under a beautiful summer evening with temperatures sitting in the high 80s, fans poured into a sold-out Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre ready for a night of high-energy rock and unforgettable moments as Yungblud brought his latest tour to Charlotte.

The crowd itself was as diverse as any concert audience you’ll find. Fans dressed head-to-toe in black and pink filled the venue, embracing the style and spirit of the Yungblud community. While plenty of younger fans were in attendance, there were also many middle-aged women, moms attending with their children, and even an elderly couple enjoying the atmosphere. It was a reminder that Yungblud’s music and message connect with fans of all ages.

Opening the night was the hard-rocking sister trio The Warning, who delivered a powerful set that got the audience fired up early. Their musicianship and stage presence proved they were the perfect choice to kick off the evening.

As darkness settled over the amphitheater, the unmistakable sounds of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” blasted through the speakers. The crowd immediately erupted, singing along as anticipation built. Moments later, Yungblud burst onto the stage, launching straight into “Hello” before following it with “The Funeral.”

Dressed in a leopard vest with black sunglasses and matching black leather pants, Yungblud looked every bit the rock star. From the opening moments, he barely stood still, constantly running, jumping, and working every inch of the stage. His energy was infectious and quickly spread throughout the packed amphitheater.

Throughout the night, Yungblud made it his mission to keep everyone on their feet. He encouraged fans to sing louder, dance harder, and simply enjoy themselves. Large video screens flanking the stage frequently showed audience members as cameras panned across the crowd, capturing fans singing every word and celebrating the moment.

One of the night’s funniest moments came when Yungblud asked everyone to stick out their tongues. As thousands of fans happily complied, he began searching the crowd for people who looked a little too serious. When he found them, cameras zoomed in and projected their faces onto the giant screens until they finally joined in and stuck out their tongues as well, drawing huge laughs and cheers from the audience.

The connection between Yungblud and his fans was evident all evening. Every song was met with massive singalongs, and the sold-out crowd rarely stopped cheering between numbers. The atmosphere felt more like a giant celebration than a traditional concert.

Late in the show, Yungblud took that connection to another level by making his way into the crowd. He reached out to grab fans’ hands and greet those packed near the barricades before climbing on top of the audience. Supported by hundreds of hands, he stood above the crowd as fans cheered wildly around him, creating one of the most memorable images of the night.

By the time the final notes rang out across the sold-out Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre, the audience had experienced exactly what they came for a night filled with music, laughter, community, and nonstop energy. Yungblud once again proved why he has become one of rock’s most exciting live performers, leaving Charlotte exhausted, smiling, and wanting more.
