CD Review:Rebles of the Sun

.

These guys are based right up the road in Raleigh NC.  After being sidelined because of the pandemic they did not just sit around but used the time to concentrate on writing songs for their debut album “Rebels of the Sun”. The cd was recorded at Vintage Noise Studio and produced by Anthony Focx Out of Nashville.

The dirty, grunge guitar sounds of Bill Spears and Chris Clark take you back to Guns and Roses days. Add in the powerful vocals of Alan Rueda and the stellar rhythm section made up of bassist Jim Hunter and pulling it all together on drums Mike Ropelewski you have a in your face hard hitting album.

Out of the City” 4th on the CD.  I really like it. It has got an 80s feel with a little Van Halen influences.  What better then to have a ballad on your cd “Feels Like Yesterday” 7th on CD.  A poetry heart felt song.

With the country opening back up Stone Whiskey has dates lining up. Make sure to catch them live. I am sure you’re not going to be disappointed.  Make sure you add “Rebels of the Sun” to your must listen albums.
