Santana Oneness Tour 26 at Truliant Amphitheater with the Doobie Brothers
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Despite temperatures climbing into the upper 90s, fans packed Truliant Amphitheater for an unforgettable night of classic rock as legendary guitarist Carlos Santana and the Doobie Brothers shared the stage for one of the summer’s hottest concerts both literally and musically.
The evening began with an energetic set from the Doobie Brothers, who warmed up the crowd with a collection of their timeless hits. Their signature harmonies and feel-good rock classics had fans singing along from the opening notes, setting the perfect tone for the night’s main event.
As the lights dimmed, Santana walked onto the stage to a thunderous ovation. Dressed entirely in white, he immediately commanded attention with his unmistakable style. He wore a white hat featuring a striking red stone in the center, accented by red beads around the brim. His white pants and white T-shirt, decorated with a colorful graphic, were complemented by bright yellow-and-pink shoes that reflected the vibrant spirit of his music.
A stool sat center stage, allowing the 79-year-old guitar legend to sit during parts of the performance, a reminder that while time catches up with everyone, true talent never fades. Whether seated or standing, Santana’s guitar work remained mesmerizing. Every note flowed effortlessly as he delivered the soulful, melodic style that has made him one of the greatest guitarists of all time.
Backed by his outstanding band, Santana blended Latin rhythms, blues, jazz, and rock into an unforgettable musical experience. His guitar seemed to sing as he moved through classics that have inspired generations of music fans. The crowd responded with cheers after nearly every solo, fully appreciating the artistry unfolding before them.
Even with the sweltering heat, the audience stayed engaged throughout the night, dancing, clapping, and singing along as Santana’s music filled the amphitheater. His connection with the crowd never wavered, and his passion for performing was evident from the first song to the final encore.
Santana may rely on a stool from time to time, but one thing became crystal clear throughout the evening his legendary guitar playing hasn’t lost a step. His precision, emotion, and unmistakable tone remain as powerful as ever, proving why he continues to be regarded as one of rock’s most influential musicians.
