Headed out on the road Thursday morning to cover Metal In The Mountains 2021 that starts Thursday afternoon and goes till Sunday night. This festival is a rock, hard rock, and heavy music festival. Everyone is ready to get out and get loose. With all the crazy things going on people still need their music therapy. More that a dozen bands are scheduled to play each day. Metal fans come for all over the surrounding areas to see some local and international recording acts from all over the country.
Alright let’s get started. There are 2 stages. A main stage and a second stage. Food vendors, band merch and yes free parking. They even have camping so what more could you ask for. Thursday night drew more people than expected. With some of the crowds’ favorites Dying Oath and Byzantin as the headliner for the evening. Byzantin is a heavy metal band from Charleston, WV. They have a progressive metal, dance/electronic sound. The fans were loving it.
The rest of the weekend was amazing. A lot of great bands. Haymaker, The Crowned, King 810, John 5, Attila, RA, Butcher Babies, Soulfly, Flaw, just to name a few. Way too many to name them all. We did during the weekend experience some rain delay and even the last day of the show Sunday they had to call off the last two bands The Lonely Ones and HED PE. Due to the rain, they were unable to play. It was an incredible weekend with lots of great bands and people. All hanging out and enjoying the music we all love. Metal In The Mountains has come a long way and there ready to do it again in 2022. So, make your plans now to attend. I can only imagine the bands they will book in the years to come.
