Billy Joel finally performed Saturday night at Bank of America Stadium. It’s been a long time coming. After not playing for 7 years and twice postponed due to the pandemic.
Arriving early. Knowing it was going to be a headache to park. It’s Billy’s first ever Stadium show in Charlotte with roughly 45,000 fans packing the stadium. Billy Joel has won 5 Grammys and was nominated 23 times. He was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. The man is a true Rockstar, and I got the opportunity to photograph him.
Billy comes out in a dark suit and tie and sets at a grand piano that is situated on a revolving floor that slowly rotates around so that the audience has a different prospective of him with every revolution. Billy played for around 2 hours. Entertaining his ecstatic fans.
