Pop Evil @ The Fillmore

I’ve seen Pop Evil multiple times, and always love the bands on stage performances. I never get tired of high energy and fist pumping, in your face rock. The first time I got the chance to see them, was at the Fillmore, opening up for Stone Sour. The band was all over the stage even singer Leigh Kakaty walk out on the crowds hands like he was floating in air. The only problem I had with that show was the sound. At times you lost the vocals and guitars would go in and out and the bass was way to loud. Late that year I saw them at Amos’ on their headlining tour, and the sound and band killed it.

After being away for a while writing and recoding new material, (which I love). I was ready to get my Pop Evil fix. To the Fillmore I went. Open up for Three-day Grace. They came out on stage and as last time at the Fillmore there was problems with the sound, the engineer keep working on it thru out the show but never got it dialed in. I don’t know if  the band could hear it, but seemed like they took the stage a little flat. Putting it behind them they put on their expected rockin’ show. I really think Pop Evil is at their best when there headlining. That’s the way I like to see them.
