Another Day Dawns

When I listen to a band for the first time, I always want to hear something that makes them stand out.  “Another Day Dawns” does, this EP “Stranger” is a well written collection of entertaining songs. Starting with their first release “Taste of Heaven” it is a very catchy melody, even toe tapping, and radio worthy. I totally enjoyed this song I had to listen to it several times. The production on it is out standing no instrument is overpowering the other, the vocals of Dakota McGeehan are crisp and clear and he has a distinctively unique sound to his voice that helps them stand out.

“Beautiful Suicide” was the first song I listened to and I knew right away that I was going to like them. The powerful guitar sound of Tyler Ritter and his tasteful solos, like the one in the song “Am I” made the band even more entertaining to listen to. Drummer Nick McGeehan definitely made the percussion and rhythm section come to life, especially in the hard-hitting song “Forget Me Not” this song is the heaviest of all of them but not overbearing and not losing their style. “Never Okay” slowed it down a little with an almost acoustical feel to it.  It is a well put together song with a excellent guitar solo added in.

Producer Joe Richard did a out standing job, this EP was produced and mixed perfectly there wasn’t one song on it that was disappointing. “Another Day Dawns” definitely hit this one out of the park, I can’t wait to hear more of them.  I have them on my list of bands to go see when they come through town.
